History
ART HAUL made its first appearance in a back-alley parking lot, mid-summer 2005 in San Diego, Calif.
ART HAUL was created over coffee & cigarettes by a group of art and music habitués, also known as Niamh Scott, Miriam Lee Donaldson, Josh Norwitt and Jason Moore. They felt there was a lack of available gallery space in San Diego and decided, "Why not have an art show out of the back of a truck? Renegade!"
Miriam, Josh and Niamh continued with the idea and brought it to the streets. After the first show in San Diego, ART HAUL made several appearances in Los Angeles near Echo Park.
During the summer of 2006, Niamh founded Fruit of the Soul (FotS), an annual fundraiser for music, art and sustainable education. ART HAUL has been an integral part of FotS since its inception. It has been curated by Kelly Orange and Janelle Carter for the last three years.
